Poly house

A Poly house or shade net is a structure enclosed by agro nets or any other woven material to allow required sunlight, moisture and air to creates an appropriate micro climate condition using drip lines, foggers and humidifiers for plant growth and development. It is also referred as shade net house or net house

The net house is specially designed for protecting plants from excess sunlight and provides the required quantity of sunlight to stimulate the optimum plant growth. Crops in net houses are also protected against damage from birds, insects etc.

This facility at NCAT are used for producing seeding materials of vegetables, fruits, flowering, foliage, medicinal, aromatic and spices.

it is used mainly for protecting seeding materials from pest attack, natural weather disturbances such as wind, rain, hail.
