B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Duration: 4-Years
SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION to TNAU is MANDATORY for getting admission in constituent and affiliated colleges through counseling and management quota.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates should have passed ALL the subjects in Academic stream of the Qualifying Examination with 10+2 years of schooling under Board of Higher Secondary Education of Government of Tamil Nadu / Central Board of Secondary Education / Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations / other State Government Boards / other International Boards that are recognized are eligible (based on the subject eligibility) for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree program.
Admission Criteria
The candidates should have passed all the subjects under ACADEMIC STREAM of the qualifying examination with 10+2 years of schooling under Board of Higher Secondary / CBSE/ Council for Indian School of Certificate Examinations / international boards recognized (attach proof of recognition) are eligible to apply.
Eligible subjects of study in the qualifying examination
Group 1 – Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Group 2 – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and fourth subject either biochemistry or Home science or Biotechnology or Microbiology
Group 2A – Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
*Mandatory : It is mandatory that all the candidates seeking admission for B.Sc. (Hons) (Agriculture) in NCAT under management quota should also apply to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for Admission. If you have any clarification please feel free to reach us.
Admission procedures
Of the total sanctioned strength, 50 per cent of the seats will be admitted through TNAU single window system and the remaining 50 per cent by the management adopting the eligibility criteria.Candidates seeking admission under Government quota and management quota should apply online to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore http://www.tnau.ac.in/admission.html
In addition, application form for admission to the management quota can be obtained, in person from the Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology, Peraiyur Post, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramnathapuram District by paying an application fee of Rs. 1000/- or through post by sending a request letter enclosing a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- in favour of “Nammazhvar College of Agriculture and Technology” payable at City Union Bank, Kumbakonam towards the cost of application form.
