Farms & Poultry
Farming is the practice of cultivating, processing and distributing food. It involve animal husbandry, aquaculture, agroforestry, beekeeping and horticulture. Accessibility, affordability and availability of fresh food, vegetables, fruits and meat products through farming can improve food security and food safety. Agriculture is associated with increased consumption of food, fruits and vegetables which decreases risk for disease and can be a cost-effective way to provide citizens with adequate quantity and quality of fresh produce. Soil-less cultivation with hydroponics, aeroponics and limited-space cultivation with vertical garden are also being practiced at NCAT. Also we are providing facilities for extension service using available resources at our farm unit.
