The students of 2021 batch (116 No.s) were taken to Kodaikanal for Eco-Educational Tour between 22.09.22 to 24.09.22. During the visit, students have learned crops grown in that region, importance of terrace farming (processes of cultivating crops on the sides of hills or mountains by planting on graduated terraces carved into the slope) under the course HOR 112 & SWE 112. Also, they visited ICAR- Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute at Mannavur and learned about research programmes and Mannavanur Eco-Tourism site. The Forest Ranger, Mr.Vinayagamoorthi assisted and directed students from the beginning and highlighted Tamil Nadu Bio-diversity Conservation and Greening Project followed by the students were taken to Poomparai falls to experience trekking during Eco-Educational Tour. The staff accommodated with the students are Dr.R.Sureshverma, AP(Agricultural Extension), Mr.P.Annamalai, AP(Entomology), Ms.K.Ragavi, AP(Micro biology) and Ms.S.R.Baby Rhodes, AP(Engineering).
